C-40 Disposition Change of Certain Items Report - June, 2010

Issue/Rationale

Clay County School Board Policy 5.03, Section C.3 provides that property records shall be prepared and a property tag number shall be assigned upon receipt of a tangible personal property item purchased or donated, with a value of $750.00 or more.  In accordance with School Board Policy, the Coordinator of Property Control is removing from capitalized inventory each piece of equipment or property with a value less than $750.00.  For property items owned by the Clay County School Board with a value less than $750.00, the Coordinator of Property Control is making a disposition change from capitalized inventory to non-capitalized inventory.  The purpose of this report is to show in dollars, by location, the financial impact of removing from capitalized inventory each piece of equipment or property with a value less than $750.00.

 



Recommended Action
Approve Disposition Change of Certain Items Report - June, 2010 as submitted.

Financial Impact
Reduces the capitalized dollar value of tangible personal property.
